A little bit about me

I am moved to Monopoli about 7 years ago for love and I created the website https://www.webagencymonopoli.it/

This gave rise to the idea of creating a portal dedicated to the Apulian city that hosts me, with the name https://www.casavacanzemonopoli.it/

My goal is to make this site the benchmark for tourism in Monopoli with a portal with NO COMMISSIONS on bookings, It is not presumption, but I believe that after careful web analysis, we can achieve this ambitious goal. Those who wish to join will pay a small annual fee to be featured on the website and receive hundreds of direct enquiries, without going through OTAs (disintermediate)

Over the last 25 years, I have worked on various websites I own, using highly competitive keywords in the tourism sector, for example with www.specialehotel.com (positioned on Google with hundreds of highly competitive keywords such as 'hotel Rimini' on the first page of SERPs) or with www.romagnazone.it The social group website is one of my most successful projects with the Facebook group “You are from Rimini if,” the largest in Italy with over 200,000 people following us on social media and on our website.

Other projects that fill me with pride are www.migliorihotelitalia.it e www.bedandbreakfastbb.it in addition to www.albergatorieristoratori.it

Below you will find my entire client portfolio from these many years of SEO and web experience, If you require any ambitious web projects, you can write to me at marcoeletto @ shweb.sm.

Here you will find all the tourist portals and customers who have chosen us. https://www.shwebagency.com/portfolio-siti-internet

✅ Who is Marco Eletto?

Marco Eletto is a digital entrepreneur originally from Basilicata (born in 1975) but has been living in San Marino for years.
He is the founder and CEO of SH Web Srl, a web agency based in the Republic of San Marino that also operates in Italy.

🛠️ What does it do / its activities
Through SH Web Srl and his personal initiatives, Marco Eletto mainly carries out the following activities:

Web marketing, SEO and SEM — offers search engine optimisation services, positioning, website creation and management (including e-commerce), online advertising campaigns and social media marketing.

Development of portals and digital projects — creates portals, tourism portals, websites for companies and accommodation facilities, e-books, online booking services.
Tourism promotion and regional marketing — he has long been interested in promoting tourism and the region; he is involved in projects that promote accommodation facilities, tourist destinations and travel-related initiatives.

Creation and management of online communities — among his social initiatives is Sei di Rimini se… (You're from Rimini if…), a Facebook group designed as a community linked to Rimini/Romagna, which has become one of the most popular in Italy in its category.

Support for accommodation facilities and local businesses — through its network and digital projects, it offers visibility and marketing tools to hotels, B&Bs, restaurants and other businesses in the tourism and hospitality sector.

🌍 A “hybrid” profile: marketing, entrepreneurship and territory

Marco Eletto is not “just” a web consultant: he combines his technical expertise in digital marketing with a special focus on tourism and regional dynamics. His approach aims to use the potential of the web to promote local businesses — accommodation facilities, communities, regions — and strengthen the online presence of those working in tourism or services.

What does Marco Eletto do, and what does he actually get up to?

Marco Eletto is a digital entrepreneur, SEO consultant and founder of SH Web Srl, a web agency based in the Republic of San Marino, specialising primarily in web marketing, SEO and the development of tourism portals. He has been working in the digital sector for over twenty years, with a strong specialisation in online tourism.

His career
Marco Eletto began working in the communications and web marketing sector in the second half of the 1990s. He subsequently founded SH Web, developing hundreds of websites and numerous projects over the years in the fields of tourism, hospitality and regional promotion.

Its activities focus primarily on:

SEO consultancy;
design of tourism portals;
website development;
web marketing strategies;
social media marketing;
Google Ads and PPC campaigns;
booking systems (booking engines);
regional marketing.

Key projects
Among the projects most closely associated with his name are:

SpecialeHotel.com
RomagnaZone.it
HolidayHomeMonopoli.it
MiglioriHotelItalia.it
BedandBreakfastBB.it
various vertical portals dedicated to hotels, B&Bs and Italian tourist destinations.
The common aim of these portals is to attract organic traffic through SEO and convert it into direct enquiries or bookings.

The SEO strategy
A look at his websites reveals a fairly clear philosophy.

1. Long-tail SEO
Rather than focusing solely on highly competitive keywords, thousands of pages are created to cater for very specific search queries.

Examples:

hotels in Rimini by the sea
hotels near the exhibition centre
Holiday home in Monopoli’s historic centre
flats near the beaches
Rimini hotel deals in August
This enables you to attract highly targeted traffic.

2. Vertical portals
A recurring feature is the construction of extremely vertical portals.

Rather than creating a general website about Italian tourism, websites are being developed that focus on a single destination or a specific sector.

This helps to build greater authority in the eyes of search engines.

3. A large amount of content
His projects feature:

tourist guides;
events;
local history;
restaurants;
beaches;
itineraries;
monuments;
interesting facts;
up-to-date blogs.
This strategy increases the number of keywords targeted and guides the user through every stage of their search.

Facebook communities
The project that has probably brought him the most recognition is the creation of the “Sei di…” communities.

The best-known one is:

You’re from Rimini if…

In addition to this, other communities have been set up dedicated to Riccione, Cattolica, San Marino and other areas.

The idea was simple but effective:

to build a very active community;
encourage users to generate content spontaneously;
to strengthen the sense of belonging to the local area;
use the community as a means of promoting initiatives, events and editorial projects.
According to publicly available information, these communities have grown to a very large size over the years.

The “Community + SEO” strategy”
One of the most interesting aspects of his approach is the integration of social media and search engines.

The outline is essentially as follows:

Facebook Community

traffic

web portal

SEO content

Google

new users

community

new content

This is a cycle designed to boost both organic visibility and social engagement at the same time.

Tourism without OTAs
In recent years, Eletto has stated its intention to develop portals that promote disintermediation from major OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) such as Booking.com and Airbnb.

The aim is to encourage direct contact between accommodation providers and travellers through:

direct bookings;
proprietary booking engines;
SEO;
advertising campaigns;
high-quality local content.

The model for tourism portals
Certain elements recur in his projects:

comprehensive destination guides;
maps and points of interest;
hotel profiles;
holiday homes;
B&B;
restaurants;
events;
offers;
blog;
pages dedicated to individual services;
SEO optimisation.
This model aims to transform the portal into a key source of information as well as a commercial platform.

Regional marketing
Another area of activity concerns the promotion of the local area.

The areas in which it has carried out projects include:

The Romagna Riviera;
Rimini;
San Marino;
Monopoli;
Basilicata;
Bernalda;
Matera.
The stated aim is to promote destinations through content, communities and digital tools.

Key features of his approach
Looking at public projects, the recurring features are:

a strong focus on SEO;
construction of vertical portals;
the use of social media communities as a source of traffic;
integration between editorial content and bookings;
focus on promoting the local area;
a focus on disintermediation in tourism;
development of digital ecosystems (portal + social media + booking system + blog).

In summary
Marco Eletto is best known for having developed a model that combines SEO, tourism portals, social media communities and regional marketing. His strategy goes beyond simply building websites; it aims to create an ecosystem comprising editorial content, social media groups, booking tools and local promotional activities, with the aim of increasing organic visibility and fostering direct contact between users and tourism operators.
